So, you have a furry little love bug who fills your heart with so much love and immense joy that you almost can’t compose yourself. You say “ooooh big stretch” every time they do their downward dog pose in the morning. You joke about them needing to pay rent and earn their keep given they just cost you $750 at the emergency vet because they can’t help but eat the shit out of every overpriced toy you buy them. No matter what hell they raise, we still love them. Your puppy, your bubba, your best friend, your banana nut muffin – they’re the best thing to ever happen to you.
We’ll sacrifice just about anything for our spoiled fur monsters, but there’s one thing you shouldn’t have to sacrifice. Your home aesthetic!!
I’d give up both kidneys for my puppy Oswald/Ozzy/Oz/Ozzy Baby/Snoswald/Oswaldo/Bubba, but I won’t give up beautiful interior design for him. Sorry!! But over my dead body would I allow some toy bin in my home plastered with dog bones and cheesy sayings like “my pawfect best friend.”
Alright you get the point, let’s get into my recommendations for cute, design-forward, non-ugly dog home accessories.
First things first, dog beds! I own the herringbone donut bed. Ozzy loves nuzzling his little body in there, and mom loves it too because herringbone is her favorite pattern 😉 This stripe bed or mid-century-esque brown dog bed are stunning options too.
Dog bowls are a perfect opportunity for great design as well. My favorite option is the acrylic elevated feeder with gold bowls. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Amazon has a good dupe-ish option under $30. Second place goes to the Jonathan Adler dog bowl with his iconic stripe pattern. The black ceramic dog bowl is another good option. Added bonus it’s a slow-feeder, so your pup’s lack of self control won’t cause them to hack a lung on your kitchen tile floor.
Have a pup who needs to be quartered off with a doggy gate when you leave home? Buy this chic acrylic doggy gate.
One of my biggest (seemingly most obvious) tips is to store your dog toys in beautiful woven baskets rather than the cheesy toy baskets from Home Goods with “dog stuff” scribbled on the front. Our goal is understated and elegant – something that will seamlessly integrate with our home’s aesthetic. This lidded basket from Serena and Lily is both gorgeous and functional, especially because the lid allows us to fully hide the toys from view and keep them out of a mischievous snout’s reach 😉
Last but not least, I linked a few chic collar options and the bougiest dog toys I’ve ever seen. Don’t you just die over the Clase Azul tequila toy?! Ozzy would tear up these plush toys in forty seconds, but it’s just so cute I may have to slip it into his Christmas stocking this year.
You can shop all the links in the photo caption above, and if you have any questions or comments, leave them below. Happy shopping, and have fun spoiling the four-legged friend in your life (and yourself too)!

I love this “episode” and your homage to sweet Oliver too.
All very non-ugly for sure!
That mid century brown bed (couch) is very sleek.
I’ll have to check with Ozzy’s Mom to see what he needs at home.
