Fall is here, also known as the best time of the year. Yes, I’m another basic bitch whose favorite season is fall. Sadly, it’s unseasonably warm in Indy still, but that didn’t stop me from pulling out my fall decor.
As with the rest of my home, I primarily stick to neutral, timeless pieces. I steer clear of gaudy tchotchke signs that read “Happy Fall, Y’all” and instead opt for using deep autumnal hues, fall scented candles, and a few pumpkins of course.

For my dining room tablescape, I layered a couple decorative vessels with scented branches. Both the gray Studio McGee vase and the large distressed ceramic vase are affordable Target finds. I love the creamy white and taupey gray colors for fall, but they are versatile enough to be used year round as well. The scented branches are from the cinnamon broom at Trader Joe’s. They sell it at the entrance of the store, and it smells heavenly. It smells exactly like Big Red gum but better.
Naturally, I layered in a mini glitter pumpkin as well. Sadly, I can’t link it because I bought it in the Target dollar section a few years back.

I decorated my living room side table with a burgundy flower arrangement and decorative pumpkins. I bought the flowers from Trader Joe’s, and the pumpkins are several years old. Crate & Barrel has some gorgeous white ceramic pumpkins, and Amazon has great affordable pumpkin sets as well.

I kept the fall decor minimal on my coffee table. I used the same burgundy Trader Joe’s flowers in a taupe ceramic vessel, a vintage tortoise shell decorative box, and a mini cinnamon broom from Trader Joe’s.
I’ll be using these fall decor items for years to come because neutral pieces never go out of style. My rule of thumb is to stick to spicy browns, deep oranges, creamy whites, and rich burgundies. These deep hues will add the perfect fall touch to your space without being overly obvious.
