I am so excited to share this post because I truly believe people are missing out on this hidden gem. Glassware can get expensive when it really doesn’t need to be, especially when you consider the fact that it’s GLASS and easily breakable. I prefer to invest in things I know will last, and obviously there’s no guarantee when it comes to vases, coffee cups, and wine glasses. Accidents happen! Keep on reading and look through my pretty photos to discover the best place to find cheap and affordable glassware 😉

Alright, alright. That was enough lead-up. I’ll spill. The best place to buy affordable glassware is GOODWILL! Believe it or not, every single vase, cocktail glass, and mug on this table is from Goodwill (even the long cylindrical vase holding my peonies). And, yes, my peonies are from Trader Joe’s (a little gift to myself for launching my blog).
It does require some patience to sort through the countless mismatched wine glasses and dusty old crockpots donated by the departed, but you are bound to score eventually.

Here is my collection of Goodwill vases that I love to use for fresh flowers. I believe I only paid $2.99 for each which is 10% of what you’d pay at Crate & Barrel. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Crate & Barrel and shop there often, but I don’t like spending a lot of money on an item so fragile. If I break one of these $2.99 vases, I won’t feel so guilty. On the other hand, if I spend $40 on a vase, I’d be pissed at myself if I broke it. Even worse, I may just keep it stored away and never use it out of fear of damaging it. It’s like Monica from Friends when she never uses her nice China dishes because she doesn’t trust her friends not to break them. It took me forever to come to terms with it, but I’m a total Monica so no expensive China for me lol.
I also wanted to mention that I once found a Goodwill sticker on the bottom of a vase of flowers from a professional flower delivery company! Number one, that company needs to practice their detail orientation 😉 Number two, Goodwill must have some quality items if your $80 flower delivery came in a vase from them.

Here’s my collection of Goodwill cocktail glasses. I scored a set of 4 identical margarita glasses, two champagne flutes, and two of my favorite wines glasses. I believe each glass was $0.69. Nice wine glasses with a similar aesthetic can cost $10-15 a piece. It can take some time to find a pair of identical glasses, but be patient and dig around.

Last but certainly not least, these glass espresso cups are my favorite Goodwill find. Believe it or not, I found the sets at different times at two separate store locations. I already had two, then I found an identical pair at a different store and my jaw almost hit the floor.
If you’re still reading, then listen to me and go hit up your local Goodwill to peruse their dish section! And don’t be discouraged by a little grime. Dawn dish soap and some elbow grease will turn your glassware good as new.
I can’t wait to hear what you guys score! Share with me in the comments.
