23 year olds probably shouldn’t throw themselves a birthday party, but here we are. I invited a few friends over and had *way* too much fun. Considering I had spent the past year working from home in sweats because of COVID, I was dying to have a reason to dress up. It was the perfect occasion to bust out my new champagne coups.
I had been wanting a set of champagne coups for so long in order to make a champagne tower. I know, not original, but Pinterest made me do it. I bought my set of 8 coups from Crate & Barrel, but it is no longer available. I was lucky enough to score these for 50% off making them only $25. Thank god none of them were broken because they were final sale. Pottery Barn has a very similar 10-piece champagne tower set that would be perfect for your next party! I found a GORGEOUS 4-piece set from Crate & Barrel that’s a bit pricier but perfect for a special occasion.

Please excuse the fact that I didn’t pour any actual champagne over the tower. In all honesty, I didn’t want to clean up the (inevitable) mess it would make, lol.
Another must for the perfect party? The classic balloon garland.

Of course, I opted for classic black and white balloons. I was going for a classy look, and these fit my vision perfectly. I found a 100-pack on Amazon for less than $15 which is more than enough since the garland only required 24 balloons. The variety pack also included clear balloons with black confetti which were my favorite.
I followed a balloon garland tutorial I found off Pinterest if you’re interested in creating your own. Fun fact: I can’t tie balloons, so my boyfriend had to tie all of them and let’s just say he was not thrilled about it. But, it was for my birthday so he sucked it up;)
Another crucial element to any basic bitch birthday celebration? Massive number balloons signaling how old you are.

In my case, they are imperative considering I’m desperately trying to convince people I’m not 16-years-old. Oh the struggles of being 5’3” with a baby face:’)
I bought mine at Target for $6 each, which is kind of steep for a balloon but you only have one birthday a year so go for it.

I also scored cute birthday napkins in the party section at Target. They have so much great stuff there and it’s reasonably priced.
Last but certainly not least, I obviously needed my trusty Trader Joe’s roses. They have the best flower selection and the prices are super reasonable. I love their eucalyptus as well, and it lasts for at least a few weeks which is nice.

Cheers! I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my 23rd birthday celebration. I’ll spare you the (sloppy) photos of me attempting to take some cute pictures with my big 2-3.
I hope this provides some inspiration for your next celebration!
